Buzz Lightyear is expected to be the country's best-selling toy come
Christmas, a full decade after the last one set the tills ringing.
A toy retailer has said that the space ranger hero is
likely to be the most popular toy this year, after Disney Pixar released its latest
film in the Toy Story franchise.
"The film has enjoyed the best ever opening weekend for Disney Pixar, so we think
Toy Story 3 stuff will be pretty big later this year.
"Last time around, in 1999 when Toy Story 2 was released, it was huge. You just
couldn't get your hands on enough stock."

"We are advising parents to shop
early, especially if their child is expecting the Buzz
Lightyear Action Figure.
Although we aim to meet the high demand, the
popularity of this particular toy may mean that we see it fly off the shelves with
the same excitement as the Go Go Hamsters last Christmas."
Buzz Lightyear is one of the main characters in the
groundbreaking Pixar CGI movie series "Toy Story". A space ranger captain of the
Intergalactic Alliance, Buzz Lightyear is based in Sector 4's Gamma Quadrant.
He is a courageous spacefarer, although he can be pompous and dense at times. He
also adheres to rules and the law, which he espouses as the only way to live one's
life. He can also be too stubborn, often to the detriment of those around him.
Still, his good nature wins out in the end. Buzz is in great physical
condition, and highly efficient in weaponry and skilled in martial arts.
Buzz Lightyear is one of the central characters of this
story. He is the funny space ranger who, along with his Buzz Lightyear Toys friend
Woody, has several adventures and misadventures which your child
probably loves. And because of Buzz's popularity, a spin off from Toy
Story was even made where the Buzz
Lightyear cartoons then made it to your Televisions.
Now, give your child the chance to become Buzz himself. You can do this by
